Jiu-Jitsu is great for the body and is an exciting adventure of the mind, spirit, and heart. In addition to sharing our experiences, I want to explore the multiple dimensions of Jiu-Jitsu as well as the philosophy, art, science, technique, etc. Most importantly, I want to use words to help define the Jiu-Jitsu we create with our bodies. When you read, the world widens and your mind begins to change a little. As we train hard to change ourselves for the better, we can also change our community!

Nor Cal NoGi Jiu-Jitsu Open
Gold & Silver at the Nor Cal No-Gi Open

El Dorado Hills Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu had a great showing at the Nor Cal No-Gi Open in Alameda, CA. The two competitors, Beau and Eliot battled their way to the finals of their divisions. Beau participated in the intermediate division and won three convincing fights to make his way to the top of the podium. He had a nail-biter finals match with plenty of action and excitement. The tied match came down to referee's criteria, but with the help of his exciting takedown attacks, his hand was raised in victory. His finals match was a true test of heart and will! Eliot won his first match with a shoulder lock and the second match with a choke, but fell short by a takedown in the finals. Please congratulate these competitors the next time you see them!
