Football and Jiu-Jitsu

What can football players learn from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
Jiu-Jitsu and football may appear to be very different, but there are many elements that cross over from the mat to the field. Take for instance the stiff arm. This may be a classic football technique, but probably applied more in Jiu-Jitsu!
The stiff arm is not the only concept that can be applied from Jiu-Jitsu to Football. I recently learned that San Clemente High School's football team had a special martial arts training session with the jiu-jitsu team of Gracie Barra San Clemente.
The session was organized with the goal of providing a fun and challenging jiu-jitsu training experience. The experience turned out to be more than just training and turned into an exceptional team bonding experience, while showing the Triton football players jiu-jitsu techniques that would help with blocking and defensive techniques on the field.
